What is the difference between wet food and dry food?
The biggest difference is the moisture content. Wet food consists of about 75–80% water, while dry food (kibble) only contains about 8–10% moisture. Dry food is more concentrated in energy, has a longer shelf life, and is easy to portion; wet food is tastier and provides natural hydration.
Is wet food or dry food healthier for my cat?

Why does a cat on dry food need more water?
Because dry food contains almost no moisture, your cat needs to compensate for the deficit entirely through drinking. A healthy cat needs about 40–60 ml of fluid per kilogram of body weight daily – for a 4 kg cat, that's about 200 ml per day. How do I choose good cat food?
Pay special attention to the ingredient list and the "complete" label. Quality food has meat or fish as the first ingredient, contains few grains and added sugars, and states "complete" (meets all needs) instead of "supplementary." Also, check the age indication: kittens, adult cats, and seniors each have different needs.
